A New Chapter

Lately, my family and I have been navigating a major transition — we are walking through divorce.

It’s tender and ongoing, and out of respect for my kids, my partner, and myself, I’m not going to share details that aren’t my own. But I do want to share this: Divorce is completely reshaping the way I think about time, money, energy, and healing.

Entering a Season of Divorce

Despite being a natural-born planner, this isn’t something I ever planned for. But here I am — rebuilding, re-centering, reimagining. And while this season is filled with hard emotions, it’s also clarifying. There’s something deeply cleansing about starting over that invites us to shed what we no longer need… and hold tighter to what matters most.

One thing I know for sure through this season is that money and mindset are deeply intertwined. It’s never just about the numbers — especially in times like this. It’s about security, identity, self-trust, and hope. It’s about making decisions in the fog and choosing not to abandon myself when things get uncertain.

So if you’re going through something hard, too — a separation, a job change, a major life shift — I see you. You’re not alone. Beyond Budgets isn’t about perfection; it’s about rebuilding from the inside out. And now, once again, that’s the journey I’m on, too.

Thank you for walking with me, friends.
